Bratislava. Contract negotiations. I make a decision I must return home to resolve the issues there. I arrange to fly BA to London. I arrive at the airport and enquire about a flight to Birmingham, yes there is, can I catch that, yes. Some good news I will be home three hours early

I am thankful that I now have my credit cards with me. They have been replaced.  Prague Office. Catch up with the local PM, who has just returned from a training course.  The Conversion project also kicks off today  It rained. It rained a lot in Prague.  Flew out in the evening to Warsaw, a none eventful and short flight. You cannot change travellers cheques at the airport, that almost embarrassed me. The only currency I had in quantity was Hungarian Forients. So I changed those.  I am having a kitchen installed, finally, into the new extension. Ensuring that all is ok with this is a problem for me being remote, and my good lady. The problem was almost bad enough to make me return home.

Saturday Disney on Ice. Very good even if all the voices were American. Returned home, spent the night putting up pipe insulation on the new boiler pipes in the garage and pictures and a mirror into the new room.  Sunday Nice bar-b-q across the road. Packed for tomorrows early start.

Started the day in a Police Station n Budapest. This is in the centre of the red-light area. Very nice!  Get the required incident number for my insurance claim.  Nice pleasant flight to London, Rush between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, so I can get replacement travellers cheques. Travel by Heathrow Express and tube to Kings Cross, and a train home. The final leg in a taxi, back home at 6pm

During a telephone conference call, to two beautiful women in Bratislava, Neville suddenly exclaims, that there is a naked man on a balcony across the road. The girls wished technology had advanced enough that we could have a video phone. Well that was a high point.  Spent a lot of the day confirming to my credit cards that I had lost them, and please arrange replacements

Flew to Vienna on the first flight. We are courting a consultancy firm to implement a data warehouse for us, so this is a bit of a road show for them. The presentations went on OK.  That evening we catch the 1800 from Vienna to Budapest. We camp in our compartment, buy some beer and settle down. We then move to the restaurant car and continue drinking. After 3hours and 50 minutes (it arrived late, even thought it left bang on time).  We head of for a taxi, to take us to our hotel. I pay, I retrieve my bag from the boot of the car, no wallet in the bag. A more though search reveals no wallet. The dam thing has been nicked!

Budapest today. An early start. The supplier arrived, I did have a mail but I, like most of Europe, was off yesterday. So I arrived and read my mail, and so did they.  It is an important day, invoice submission day. Almost as great a day as actually receiving the payment day.
