Punchbowl, Warwick 26/10/06

Summer of '69 - Bryan Adams, abandoned due to started singing in wrong key
Behind Blue Eyes - the Who, only the fast bit to banish the demon of the week before.
Don't Hurt Yourself - Marillion
Blue, Red and Grey - the Who, 1st outing for this nice song. It is played on an ukulele but re-arranged for guitar. Sounds good, even if I do say so myself

Punchbowl, Warwick - 12/10/06

It's John Peel day today, so I thought I would play his favourite song, ever Teenage Kicks by the undertones.I played crap.
Some technical stuff went wrong and I just lost it anyhow, I play and did get a bit better.
Pinball Wizard - theWho
Cover me - Bruce Springsteen
Teenage Kicks - the Undertones. Played slightly differently to the original but I think it kinda worked.
Oh well off to see Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman next week, so far the reviews have been good.

The Great Western, Warwick - 3/10/06

A busy and packed night. I think I sang and played well, except my last song. The sound was good, load and clear. I could hear it for a change.
Substitute - the Who
Cover Me - Bruce Springsteen
Behind Blue Eyes - the Who
Stuck in the middle with you - Steelers Wheel. Played too fast, and fluffed words and chords a bit. This is a new song should have done better!
The who songs were well received with people singing along. Which was great.

The Volo, Carlton, Nottingham - 1/10/06 Review Corner
Went to see Touch2much www.touch2much.net.
They are an AC/DC tribute band. I have to say they were excellent, from the opening Thunderstruck to the closing Those about to rock. The sound and look of the band were spot on.
Check them out.
