Due to Euro 2008 it started off relativly empty. Whilst waiting to go on, France were dumped out of the competition by the Italians. Thats two groups I predicted wrong.
Show me the Way - Peter Frampton (See videos and Youtube)
Oranges and lemons - Trad. arrange 2008 Jon Chapman. with Bob on Harmonica.
I dont care at all - Jon Chapman. This song is so un-pc. It is about intollerance and does not express the fellings or thoughts of the author.
Having heard the song back, it could do with some work, musically. The lyrics hang together well. I may post this video to the site.
Behind Blue Eyes - the Who. Played using the 12 string setting on the Variax, sounded nice on playback. Finished with one verse of Won't get fooled again.(See videos & Youtube)
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton. With Bob on Harmonica. This version is growing on me. (See videos & Youtube)
The videos on here and onYoutube should be up shortly. On MySpace I will post a bulletin when they are up.
Hill Top Fool were very good last night and a welcome return.
Till next time Badger followers.

10/6/08 - Greyhound, Beeston
Well another interesting night. Tonight's theme is "News"
Played first tonight and all my songs (well most) had a link to the theme
Staffordshire Hill - Jon Chapman. Played in memory of the milestone of hitting 100 dead in Afghanistan.
A Day in the Life - the Beetles. Played to cover all news. I dropped the "Woke up, got out of bed" bit
Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash featuring Bob on Harmonica. Played for two reasons. 1. They are re-building part of Nottingham goal to house more off them, probably in more comfort than they deserve having had part of the prison condemned. and 2. For Mary Peters. Mary Peters was attacked during a robbery/burglary (what is the difference) and spent several days in hospital for her injuries. The inmates at Bristol Prison D wing, raised £86 for her, so I wrote some additional lyrics for the song, as the newspaper article hopped the felon would be put inside with them. A new verse has been added now that he has been caught and sentenced to six years for the offence. As this will run concurrently with his other sentences, he will probably only get another month or two on his overall time inside. This is very wrong!
Oranges and Lemons - Trad Jon Chapman, featuring Bob on Harmonica. I re-wrote the tune, now folkee. Played because of the recent articles about us Britons not being able, or not wanting to peel oranges. Did cause a laugh!
Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton, cocked up as I could not really see it to play it! A bit strange given I know it. News related is that tonight will get rave reviews in the papers (LOL)
Living Doll - Cliff Richard featuring Bob on Harmonica. Played better than last time. No news related interest.
Till next time badger readers.
