Now you may try this but you get nothing back from them at all.

I have called and e-mailed repeatably over the past 6 weeks, and nothing has come back

The following e-mail was sent to them on the day of the clamp!

************ Start of E-Mail ****************

As per your website (text below also note spelling mistake in “copy af all the evidence”

There is 7 days to make us aware that you are going to appeal this must be done in writing either by email or post you then have a further 7 days to forward a copy af all the evidence that you have we will then asses the evidence you provide and we will check all of our records and aim to respond within 14 days.

I am hereby appealing the charge levied by your clamper for the removal of the clamp, and supply my initial appeal with the allotted 7 days and my supporting evidence. Should you require more detail please contact me in writing to this e-mail address.

Also is this appeal independent, or is there recourse to an independent assessor.

Detail

Today I have been clamped and charged £140 for the removal of the clamp.

Whist I appreciate the work needed to be done by “Clampers” I feel in this case justifiably aggrieved and clamped illegally.

At the spot I was parked

a)      There were no road markings
b)      There were no signs either side of my car for a reasonable distance and hence identifying an area of enforcement. In fact the last sign was over 20 metres away from my car.
c)       I was parked on Mile End Road, not on one of the private roads of the estate!

I requested that I have a note entered on my receipt that I dispute the fee and clamp. This was added after some complaint by your clamper and conversation with someone in the office.

I have images showing the location of the car and it surrounds

My details
Car Reg – xxxxxxx
Address Deleted
Clamper Details M Mungan, SIA 0230 0130 0923 7708.

I request a speed return of the money I paid to have the clamp removed although I suspect that because you have my money you will do nothing in this matter.

I would also suggest that your receipts

a)      have a VAT number, I assume your registered
b)      Have a unique serial umber
c)       State a full address
And that your clampers carry the means to take money

Finally can you provide the full contact names of your customer so I can contact them as well about this issue.

Regards

********* End of E-Mail ***********

Some pictures I have taken at the time and then about 4 weeks later.

Now I have issues with this "Receipt"
  1. No serial number on the receipt. Now I am not suggesting that they would ever pocket the money but it does make losing the receipt very easy
  2. No VAT number
  3. Mile End Road, where they said I parked is part of the public highway and not part of the industrial estate, the sign you can see is behind my car. Where you would logically & realistically view any boundary to be!
  4. I wanted to register my "payment under duress" so I added that I would be appealing this to the receipt. It took some battling to do it but was successful eventually! Text was written by clamper, dictated by me and then I signed it! I did not want the receipt to be "lost"

Spot the difference, no prizes for spotting the car, clamper and his white van are not there!

Yes its the new sign!

My "clamper" returning me to my car having taken me to the local Morrison's to withdraw the £140 they have extorted from me.

Now, guess what two laws he is breaking!

A lighter version

Spot no seat belt!

yup on the mobile phone and no seatbelt!
I just wish it was a video not a still picture!
