A great night. Thanks to Dee & Michael for picking me up, meaning I could drink. Ta

30/7/10 - Dawn Trader, Greyhound, Beeston
Been a while since I saw them, just before last Christmas at their reunion gig. Tonight was different, more polished and tighter, louder and rockier.
A great night. Thanks to Dee & Michael for picking me up, meaning I could drink. Ta

29/7/10 - Middletons, Wollerton, Nottingham
It was Gary's birthday so and extra special effort to get there, even though well knackered.
Played a mixed bunch of songs
Played a mixed bunch of songs
- Please read my letter - Plant/Krause version
- Sunset Boulevard - Charlie Richardson
- Blue, Red and Grey - the Who
- Resist - Rush (Geddy Lee's Birthday)
- Rock and Roll - Led Zeppelin (Wedding singer version)
- Tattoo - the Who with Gary on backing vocals and oh are's.
- Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash + addition JNC lyrics. With Gary (Bass) and Bongo Bill (Drums). The extra lyrics caused a laugh or three!
- Keep on Rocking in the free world - Neil Young With Gary (Bass) and Bongo Bill (Drums)
- 50 things to do before I die - Jon Chapman. With Gary (Bass) and Bongo Bill (Drums). A slightly slower version.
- Pinball Wizard - the Who. With Bongo Bill(Drums)
- Behind Blue Eyes + Wont get fooled again -the Who
I have never played in band situation with bass and drums and it was great! Bongo Bill and Gary did well as they did not know some songs or more importantly how I played them.

23/7/10 - Marillion, Leamington Spa
A audience who were up for it from the start and they did not fail to deliver.
This was the rockiest set I have seen. Main set topped and tailed by the open and closing tracks of Marbles, then played another 40-50 mins.
Steve's new guitar came out for a few tracks and H only played keyboards once!
Afterwards go the chance to pop into Warwick and met up with Matt, who was doing the sound in the Rose & Crown.
I just love the feel of Warwick.

Thursday 08/07/10 - Dudley
Spent a Thursday in Dudley, thankfully Myspace came to the rescue. I saw that the Acoustic Who were playing in a nice pub in Tipton, so a quick check on the buses and I was there, good beer, great food and rocking music.
A happy Thursday!
