1/3/11– Peter Frampton, The Assembly, Leamington Spa

What a cracking and cool gig. But also a shame.

Cool in two ways.
His playing and showman ship
The vent blowing cold air over my nuts for the Whole gig! Small price as I was at the front!!!!

I will let others post the set lists etc

It was a shame but also not, a sentence of contradictions. On the negative he played for two hours and forty minutes meaning I could not get to the open mic at the Great Western in Warwick.
On the positive he played for two hours and forty minutes instead of the two hours advertised!.

Some pics to pass some of the event!

19/2/11 - Pauls Birthday Bash, SMC, Nottingham

The evening started off at the Dogs. Won a little bit  - about £1! So I was well happy. Or was it all the beer I had drunk

Off then to the SMC!

It was Paul the drummers birthday bash.

Paul plays with two bands, The Mick Rutherford band and the Khan Band, so he was in for a busy night

Joined Stuart for a couple of songs

a)      Rocking in the free world – Vocals only no amp to plug into

b)      House of the rising sun – backing acoustic guitar work!

Took the main stage for

Please read my letter – Plant/Krause version

Pinball Wizard – the Who

If I was a Carpenter – Tim Hardin

Naked Eye – the Who

I asked my brother to take some pictures, but he did not!

Dudley Dragons

As a leaving present I challenged the staff to make a dragon and post me a picture of them selves, with their dragon!

LauraLaura

Is she hiding!
Only one so far

Ian

Sorry for the late arrival of my dragon. He got lost somewhere over the arctic.

Anyhoo, he wasn't feeling too well when I took this picture as you can probably tell.

Natalie

2/2/11 Slug & Lettuce, Milton Keynes

My mums birthday, Happy birthday mummy!

That done

Went to the Slug. This is only on once a month and I was new to MK and the Slug.

Played

Please Read my Letter – Plant/Krause (missed a few verses) So I titled this the Readers Digest version!
50 things to do before I die – Jon Chapman. For this I requested that the Box was opened! This was great. People bashing musical items all over the place. Magic.
Behind Blue Eyes – the Who

Thanks to the compare (Phil) for the loan of his Ovation otherwise I would not have been able to subject the residents of MK to my music!

A great venue and very good crowd. Cannot wait till next month.

Other acts were also great. Hope to get to know them over the following months.

Till next time Badger readers.
