Saturday Tonight I meet up with all my old university friends. One is re-emigrating back down under, so this is a farewell as well as a get together.  I plan to take a bottle of Hungarian Unicum, but I forget. A drink not to be taken lightly. It has a very impressive taste. This experience they will have to wait for. The evening was very pleasant and enjoyable  Sunday The first bar-b-q of the summer 2000 season took place across the road today. Finished off playing 9 spot domino's. Tony won, I came third.

Week 22 - Friday 28/04/00

Create an updated view of the project. Implementation is going to be later than people want, but that will be tough  Off home by Plane. A meeting is scheduled at 6PM to discuss some matters.  Before my vacation I planned this week. Somehow I have not had to change a flight or anything. This is a first in recent history.

Off to Prague by train. I arrive and Prague is Very Very busy. Roads are blocked by shear volume of traffic.  Start discussing local problems. Things seem pretty much in hand. Mind you we are still in the planning stage.  Have a sphincter tightening taxi ride back to my hotel. Well that cleared up any constipation I may have had!

Off to Bratislava by train. A very pleasant journey through the countryside. Did some reading, did some work.  Arrived in the offices at around noon. The most important task was to load onto the MD's mobile phone my Mission Impossible tune.  Spent the afternoon reviewing the local project and ensuring all is on track. It is. Added some more to the projects budget to ensure that it will come in reasonably close, if not under! We know the time is short, but!

UK Bank Holiday.  I Travel back to day. But not before I cancel the timeshare. Ha! Ha!

Week 21 - Saturday 22/04/00& Sunday 23/04/00

Saturday Flying again. Returning home. We have to be out by 10AM, which we are. Laze by the pool, then get a taxi at 3 to take us to the airport. Because this was Easter we had been advised to leave this early as the roads would be very busy. Were they heckers like! The roads are empty. Spend extra time at the airport, check-in and fly home a mere half hour late. Sunday The great Easter egg hunt takes place today.  Arrive home at 3AM. Bed at half past, up at 9.  Spend a pleasant day doing not a lot. Have a nice dinner at a neighbours as we have no kitchen at present, not even a sink!!
