Well this was a surprise. I was out for a few beers with my brother and my niece. We called in and the open mic which I though was next week, was in fact this week.
So we stayed and I played. It was a very nice guitar as too.

Shed Build – Part 3

I say build, more demolition.

Time for the old shed to become history.

I have to say that nearly all the wood was rot free so after 10 years it was a good shed.. Just put up badly!

I did  not know his was on. We were out on a works based project meal, and I spotted the open mic.

After my food I went over. It was run by the guy who did run theWayfarers.

Shed Build–Part 2

A lot going on in this episode. lol.

First a confession.

 

My beautiful base is too big. I put the panels up to them and there was a massive gap. A quick telephone call to the supplier. I discovered I had used the wrong dimensions for the base’s construction. It was an easy mistake seeing as they did not give dimensions for the base on the web.

Anyhow, a little bit of sawing and some pure genius thinking solved the problem.

I managed to build it on my own. Would have been easier with some help I am sure, but shows it can be done….

 

On with the build….

Friday 19 April

Sprayed the panels that I would not be able to get at after the shed is built.

It was when doing this I discovered my error in sizing the floor.

This pic just shows the resizing I managed to do quite easily. I tell you I was very annoyed.

Saturday 20 April

Laid floor

 

First Panels fitted.

The back would have some floor exposed, so I sanded it so any water would drain. All round the shed the bottom of the panels and the floor are “glued” with DPC paint.

All walls built and in place.

Roofing

Completed but naked

Final job of the day a coat of paint!

 

Door closing is just a bit of wood. Need to source a nice strong set of hinges and a nice slide bolt to close the doors.

Glad it was a sunny day

Tomorrow second coat of paint and add the glazing.

 

Now I am off for a shower and a beer or three…

Snowdon - A comparison in photos

 

I have been up Snowdon twice, both days have been Easter Sunday. What a difference.

The first time we went up by train and walked down, The second I walked up and down!

The pictures are taken in approximately the same places.
